Saqqara Local Development Center
The Local Development Center in Saqqara aims to provide an institutional framework that combines academic study and the exchange of applied experiences to raise the skills of leaders and workers in local administration units and devices in order to achieve the objectives of local development plans and programs and to strengthen and develop awareness of local development requirements at all levels. It is estimated that about 7000 trainees are targeted annually from the center's training process, 150 trainees benefit from it per week, with the implementation of specialized group workshops. Work is underway to launch an electronic platform for distance training in cooperation with the National Training Academy, the German Agency for GIZ, the Misr El-Kheir Foundation and the Ministry of Communications. Training content for more than (70) courses is being prepared and made available to them.
