Workshop for young artisans funded by local development

Major General, Mahmoud Sharawy, the minister of local development has approved a fund of 800 thousand Egyptian pounds committed for a training workshop to 523 trainees of young artisans in 17 governorates during the year 2019. This training comes in accordance with the ministry’s policy to train young artisans across all governorates in order to have skillful craftsmen who have the ability to expand the crafts industry in Egypt and hence, this would minimize the unemployment gap in the labor market and would help in achieving the proposed socio-economic development. 
General Sharawy added that the training workshops will be held in the training centers for the crafts industry available at each governorate and his excellency asked accordingly potential trainees to register themselves at the administration for crafts industry in the governorate they belong to. 
Minister Sharawy also referred to the benefits of this training workshop that will be supported and funded by the ministry of local development as it will provide the trainees with concessional loans through local development box or ‘economic and social development project/ Mashroak’ that would help them in starting their own project.
