210 buses powered by natural gas and electricity to transfer of climate summit delegations

Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, announced That the ministry has completed  moving   210 environmentally friendly buses powered by natural gas and electricity to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh, to transport the delegations participating during the activities of the Climate Summit, including 100 buses powered by natural gas and 110 powered by electricity, explaining that their manufacture has been completed in accordance with the cooperation protocols signed between the Ministry of local development , the Ministry of Military Production and the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria.

Major General Hisham Amna pointed out that the buses that the Ministry finished moving on Wednesday (26/10/2022) come within the framework of the preparations of all state agencies ongoing to host Egypt for the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change "COP 27" in Sharm el-Sheikh, which begins its activities on November 6, explaining that the visual identities have been installed for them after receiving them, as well as issuing the necessary licenses and also providing technical crews, and decent uniforms for drivers and technical assistance crews. , in line with the climate summit, which the state agencies attach great importance to coming up with this event in a manner that befits Egypt's name in the international community.

Major General Amna explained that the environmentally friendly buses, which have already started work in transporting delegations participating in the climate conference and also tourists in Sharm el-Sheikh, include 100 buses powered by natural gas belonging to the Public Transport Authority in Cairo Governorate, in addition to the number of 70 electrically powered buses belonging to the Authority as well, pointing to the completion today of the movement of 40 buses powered by electricity and follows the Public Transport Authority in Alexandria, to reach the city of Sharm el-Sheikh to Join the fleet of vehicles operating during the Conference.

In the same context, and in preparation for the World Climate Conference cop27... Major General Hisham Amna confirmed that the ministry has completed procedures to allocate the supply of 70 thousand trees to the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, within the presidential initiative of 100 million trees, for planting in the central parks of the city, and 14 thousand fruitful trees of olive and lemon trees have already arrived in the city, pointing out that The initiative aims to improve air quality, reduce the risks of global warming, preserve the public health of citizens, increase the green patch, and provide job opportunities to work in planting new trees.
