The National Program for the Development of Egyptian Villages

An amount of 10.5 billion pounds was spent on self-financing and the state’s public treasury, as well as internal and external grants to implement 2291 projects to meet the needs of citizens of the villages. About 13 million citizens benefited from 650 villages with a total number of 1684 projects. The following is an explanation of some of those projects:
100 health units with a total cost of 450 million pounds.
150 schools with a total cost of 750 million pounds.
The number of 1,000 road and bridge paving projects with a total cost of 3.825 billion pounds.
The number of 200 drinking water projects with a total cost of 1.5 billion pounds.
500 electricity projects with a total cost of 1.425 billion pounds.
 125 environmental improvement projects (covering drains and cleaning equipment) with a total cost of 750 million pounds.
There are 141 sewage projects with a total cost of 1.550 billion pounds.
Number of 75 projects to raise the efficiency of the headquarters of local units and solidarity centers with a total cost of 250 million pounds.
