Local Development Minister Tours to Meet Employees and Staff
At Thursday, Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, began her duties at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital after taking the constitutional oath. She conducted an inspection tour of the various departments at the ministry's headquarters to meet employees and staff, greet them, and understand the workflow mechanisms in the ministry's sectors and departments.
Dr. Manal Awad aimed to speak with the ministry's leaders, heads of central departments, and various department directors, as well as several employees, to learn about their work tasks, current workflow, and plans. She also discussed urgent and important files within the ministry as part of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the government, governors, and their deputies following the constitutional oath ceremony held at the Presidential Palace. Additionally, Dr. Awad focused on listening to the employees' demands and suggestions for developing the work system in the coming period, along with several proposals the ministry wishes to implement to enhance performance and provide better services to citizens and serve the governorates.
The Minister of Local Development emphasized providing all possible support to all ministry employees to complete work plans effectively. She highlighted the importance of developing local administration, which serves as the intermediary between the central government and citizens in the governorates, ensuring citizen satisfaction with local administration.
During her tour, the Minister reviewed the work and roles of several central departments, including the Minister's Office, the Inspection and Follow-up Department, the Human Resources Department, the Local Administration Development, the Local Development Program in Upper Egypt, and several other sectors.
Throughout the day, Dr. Manal Awad held a series of bilateral meetings with several ministry leaders and heads of central departments to review various efforts and measures taken by different sectors and departments during the previous period to build upon them in the upcoming phase.
Dr. Manal Awad urged employees in the sectors and departments she met with to exert more effort and dedication to develop the work system and provide better services to citizens, in line with state efforts. She stressed the need to continue ongoing efforts to implement work plans and programs, especially those related to citizens' lives, and build on the achievements of previous ministers.
The employees congratulated the Minister on her new position, wishing her success and hoping for more achievements in the ministry in the coming period.
