The Minister of Local Development monitors with the Governor of Suez development projects
Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development received Major General Abdul Mejid Saqr, the Governor of Suez at the Ministry's headquarters.
During the meeting, the Minister of Local Development followed up with the Governor of Suez on the executive position of a number of ongoing development projects on the land of the governorate, foremost of which are the ongoing investment plan projects in all service sectors of interest to citizens.
General Hisham Amna instructed that targeted projects should be completed in time to meet the needs of the governorate's citizens and that the projects should enter service.
The Minister of Local Development was keen to follow up on governorate preparations for the third phase of Wave 20 to remove encroachment on state property and agricultural lands. Major General Hisham Amna stressed the importance of monitoring and nipping any new cases in cooperation with law enforcement forces, issuing reports against violators and taking legal action, and monitoring and immediately dealing with the executive agencies of any illegal spatial variables or new encroachment through the system of spatial variables.
The Governor of Suez also presented the position of implementing some development projects in the sectors of sanitation, drinking water, road development and paving, and a project to develop governorate capitals and major cities, where the Governorate of Suez is one of the first governorates to implement this important national project, as it has cost to date for the construction of 12,200 housing units.
The Governor of Suez also presented details of the project to establish the medical complex within the framework of the initiative of the President of the Republic for comprehensive health insurance.
The meeting also witnessed the follow-up of the latest developments in the solid waste system in the governorate of Suez, especially the ongoing infrastructure projects and the residential collection system for waste products, and the raising of the accumulated garbage generated on a daily basis to contribute to improving the level of hygiene, and they also discussed the follow-up of the Suez Canal development project, the establishment of a hub between Suez and Ismailia, as well as the development project in the governorate and the development of old apartment buildings built for decades on the land of the governorate.
The Minister of Local Development pointed out that the meeting also witnessed the follow-up of some available investment opportunities, especially in light of the distinguished geographical location of the Suez Governorate in the Suez Canal region, and Major General Abdel Mejid Saqr presented a number of investment opportunities available in the governorate that can be used to establish projects in the development fields, which contribute to providing job opportunities for the youth of the governorate .
