In implementation of the instructions of the President of the republic and the instructions of the prime minister to develop an integrated vision for improving the efficiency and development of local roads in the governorates, the team held an extensive meeting with the engineer kamel El Wazeer, minister of transport, general Mahmoud Sharawi, minister of local development at the headquarters of the ministry of transport, in the presence of the leadership of the general committee on roads, Bridges and road transport.

The meeting reviewed the results of the work of the joint committees of the ministries of transport and local development, the composition of which was directed by the ministers during the previous meeting to conduct inspections of priority roads in the area of 11 governorates in the regions of the delta and north upper Egypt . They are (Qalyubia , Monufia , Dakahlia , Beheira , Kafr EL Sheikh, Sharqia, Gharbia , Damietta , Beni Suef , Faiyum , Minya)  The ministers endorsed the findings of the commission and directed that prompt action be initiated to bring companies forward for rapid implementation and completion.

The minister of transport stated that this meeting was part of the follow-up to the steps and mechanisms for the implementation of the political leadership's directives on the upgrading of important roads within the governorates. Referring to the general committee on roads and Bridges and road transport, it was responsible for monitoring contract procedures and overseeing the implementation of the roads implemented by the governorates and included in their budget in order to ensure that the required quality was achieved for the works carried out in accordance with the standard specifications of the roads and Bridges authority.

General Mahmoud Sharawi stressed that joint cooperation with the ministry of transport would continue to be maintained in order to speed up the implementation of projects relating to the internal roads of the governorates to the highest standards and of high quality, especially those linking cities and good roads. Sharawi noted that this coordination was part of inter-ministerial cooperation to improve services for citizens.

The minister of local development referred to the decision of the prime minister to allocate additional funding of 2 billion Egyptian pounds to the roads identified during the initial and urgent phase of the governorates.
