Disinfecting 54,000 buildings and closure of 4257 shops
Seizing the Shisha from 4748 restaurants, closure of 4,000 educational centers, and cancellation of 1449 markets.
Major-general Mahmoud Sharawi, minister of local development, received a report from the ministry's operations and crisis management room on follow-up of the efforts of the governorates to implement the decisions of the prime minister to ban assemblies in the governorates, cancel weekly markets and close educational centers during the period of schools and universities suspension for eliminating Corona virus , maintaining the safety and health of citizens and achieving the highest rates of safety.
Sharawi said the report he received from the operating room indicated that the number of buildings cleared and disinfected in the governorates of the republic was 54948. The report also mentioned the number of business shops that contravened the decision of the prime minister and that 4257 shops had been closed.
General Mahmoud Sharawi added that the number of cafes, cafeterias and restaurants in which the shisha was seized was about 4748, adding that the number of educational centers that had been closed in the governorates was about 4045.
The minister of local development said that 1449 markets were cancelled and 1656 wedding halls at the governorate level were closed for violating decisions made.
Sharawi asked the operations room to continue to follow up on the implementation of the prime minister's decisions and directives to address the spread of the new coronavirus and to coordinate continuously with the operations room in the governorates.
