«Local development» held a meeting with stone-pits managers

Major General, Mahmoud Sharawy has held a meeting with the managers of the stone-pits across Egypt to discuss the different suggestions in order to maximize state’s benefit from these stone-pits. General Sharawy also referred to President El-Sisi interest in protecting state resources and maximizing its benefit from it. Hence, General Sharawy insisted on the importance of frequent follow up by the governors to the different stone-pits in order to gather government due taxes, differentiate between licensed and non-licensed stone-pits and take the required actions against the violators. During the meeting, the minister discussed with the attendees the different ways to protect state resources and maximize its usage. This includes: selecting one entity to be responsible for the stone-pits, unifying the templates of license and the required procedures to obtain it, establishing an entity to inspect the stone-pits and regulate its activities.
